EASY MAPLE BACON PRETZEL RODS

Read...

Super easy.

I have this donut shop near my house that I absolutely love.  It opened up in a location where other places that’d opened up had failed.  You know the places – every town in America has them.  It’s like the location is cursed or something.  Every business that’s been there ends up closing not too long afterwards, as if the location is doomed for a business to survive, much less thrive, there.

EASY MAPLE BACON PRETZEL RODS:

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 package vanilla Candiquik (or sub with almond bark or white chocolate)
  • 2 teaspoons of maple flavoring (more or less to taste)
  • 1 package of bacon, cooked to a crisp & crumbled
  • 1 bag of pretzel rods

DIRECTIONS:

  • Melt the vanilla candiquik in the microwave according to the package directions. Stir in the maple flavoring. Dip 1/2 to 3/4 of the pretzel rods into the maple candiquik & place them on a baking sheet covered with wax paper. Sprinkle the crumbled bacon on top, pressing in the pieces as needed. Drizzle on a little extra maple glaze to finish them up. Let cool until set – refrigerate to hurry the process along.
